Trying to get some friends together to go up to a Bucks/76ers game early next year in Milwaukee. Originally just a couple of us were going, nosebleed seats were around 60 bucks. We gained a few more guys and our ranks have swollen to 5, and the price for the same seats went up to 100 per.

We are a group of casual NBA fans, and none of us are bucks/sixers fans, so the 100 dollar price tag isn't very appealing. These prices are from apps like vivid seats, stub hub, seat geak etc. Does anyone have ideas where else we could look, to save a few bucks. Has anyone had success buying from scalpers?

When I bought tickets to the Nuggets @ T-Wolves game last year I got them directly through the Timberwolves website/app. They have the option to resell your tickets through their website/app and I ended up getting a seats for under face value.

Ticket prices have gone through the roof for Bucks games. It's a combination of the new arena plus the fact they are legit NBA championship contenders. We went to game 6 of first round playoffs against Boston last year Bradley center was open and corner lowerl levels were only $80. It would be at least $200 for those same seats now less than 2 years later. It's a great arena but getting a bit pricey especially for weekend regular season games/playoffs.

Have you added them to your cart yet? The last tickets I bought were from the T-Wolves ticket office. The 100 dollar ticket became over 180 with the "fees" they add after you put in your billing information. These were upper deck/center court.

Yeah those bogus fees are a killer. Not sure what you're even paying for. Someone is making a killing, wish I had thought of it.

I frequent Bucks games and have tickets to the 76ers game in February. That’s probably as good as it’s gonna get. I bought mine early because you can pretty much figure that kind of matchup and it being a weekend, the price is only going to go up. I used to be able to get dang good seats near the court for $30 when they were terrible and when it was in the Bradley center. Prices have hiked way up since obviously they went from the bottom to the top of the league, and another reason is that there are more corporate businesses buying tickets now in Fiserv Forum.

I went to game 2 of the Toronto game last year and I think it was $180 for lower level behind the hoop. Honestly though, I thought it was gonna be more, but that’s still way up from 2 years ago.

if you wait until about 15 mins before tip, prices on the apps drop quite a bit. you might have luck with scalpers and avoid the stub hub fees too.

giannis doesn't come cheap!

I took my son to a Bucks/Warriors game a couple season's ago and I think all fees included I was in for about $500 for 2 tickets about 30 rows up at the free throw line thru Stubhub. Great experience for my son who loves Curry, but damn that's a lot of money.

There were quite a few scalpers out there, so you could potential try your luck with them.

Having never gone the scalping route, do you, or anyone for that matter, have success stories/horror stories with scalpers? I've always wondered if they actually are selling legitimate tickets.

Every sports fan should see an NBA game at least once in their life. We took in an Dallas/Phoenix game five years ago or so when we were down in Dallas for the ISU/TCU game. My youngest son got the tickets and we were in the upper deck, if you have never seen a game live, spend the money and get tickets in the lower deck. The skill level of everyone on the floor will blow you away, and you need to be close to the floor to really appreciate it.

I'm not a frequent user of scalpers, but I've never had a problem. It mostly comes down to how picky you are about where you want to sit. If you just want in the door, you can probably find something relatively cheap.
