At least the B1G went to a 9 game conference schedule. The SEC recipe of 8 conference games...2 FCS and 1 other tomato can with possible 1 tough OOC game kind of sucks.

You play ONE current top 10 team. Michigan, Wisconsin, nor Minni is top 10. So idk what you are smoking. But the best part about about this 'stat' is you will have played these ranked teams....and lost to them all

a one loss PSU has a shot if the loss is to OSU. Obviously depends on who a one loss OU faces in the CCG and what they're ranked.
If Penn St lost at Minnesota then won at Ohio St and the BIG championship game they would very likely be in the playoff.
Now do OSU.....

I was told by you only the AP poll matters for rankings, sooooo. Not to mention no one, and i literally mean NO ONE, has ever tried to use 'rankings' from Sagarin to say they beat a ranked team. So you doing that is just idiotic.
Now if you would like to quantify the strength of your opponent that you beat, absolutely use Sagarin
Actually I think all the metrics should be used but at the end of th day the CFP poll takes precedence.
I was just alluding to @CyTwins "go to" AP poll preference. If we go by AP Iowa faces 4 teams currently ranked and ISU 4....unless i missed somebody.
