I'll be honest, I like them! but I think just because it is a nostalgia thing - it reminds me of being a middle-schooler in the mid-90s when everything 'new and cool' from windbreakers to "Trapper Keepers" to expansion sports franchises was teal/turquoise, purple, red, and black...It is terribly "dated" now but has warm associations for me.
Plus it seems like the 90s are coming back, at least in a "forced you are supposed to find this cool" marketing way...

KSUs School Color is solely, Royal Purple. Can you please explain the use of Silver and White? The irony here is deep.

Funny, I was just looking through that. Upsetting you cannot use a green Wildcat head logo
TCU has had black and purple helmets with Red in them in the past. No idea why, but this seems to be a goto color for some reason when they try to spice it up.

But unlike some schools, it would be legit for K-State to wear all blacks.Funny, I was just looking through that. Upsetting you cannot use a green Wildcat head logo![]()
I've been told it is not allowedBut unlike some schools, it would be legit for K-State to wear all blacks.
They look good! The players want something different. TCU always looks sharp. Now it just looks like they got out of the Glow Run.These new unis are bada**. I said it, and I'm sticking to it.
Minor crit: The red outline on the helmet decals needs a gloss finish to pack a proper punch and match the reflectivity of the facemask.
Yeah, Iowa State could declare that they have 4 or 5 official colors but what would be the point? But unlike some schools, it would be legit for K-State to wear all blacks.
Well, that's pretty rhetorical. What's the point of school colors?Yeah, Iowa State could declare that they have 4 or 5 official colors but what would be the point?
If it is rhetorical, why are you answering?Well, that's pretty rhetorical. What's the point of school colors?
You seem somewhat cranky today. K-State has one school color: royal purple. It may be used with black, white, and a couple shades of gray/silver.If it is rhetorical, why are you answering?
What's the point of 4 or 5 school colors?
I have heard alternately that KSU only has one school color or they have 4 or 5. I was under the impression that they had one official school color but had 4 or 5 acceptable colors for representing their logos, etc. since it is pretty much impossible to do everything in one color.

Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant when you said: "The irony here is deep." and "But unlike some schools, it would be legit for K-State to wear all blacks."You seem somewhat cranky today. It is so Surly to take shots at posters or their school on their board and then classify the responses you get as "cranky".
If black is not a K State school color then it is no more legit for K State to wear all blacks than it is for any other school. I swear you are as bad as some of the hawk trolls on here sometimes.
If you have no clue then why the irony comment and the comment about it being legit for K State to do it "unlike some schools" on an ISU board?Black is an approved color to be used with royal purple at K-State. I have no clue if ISU's policy includes black and white as officially approved school colors.
