Wasn't Ben Cotton also on that team? 3 year starter at tight end for Nebraska.
Wasn't on the roster on quikstats for 08/09 or 09/10.

It is totally on us that we had a future NBA player on the team and we chose to hardly use him at all.
Boy I agree. That would be quite a kick to the balls if you got sent down during the season.I just think it's interesting that the G-League team for Miami is in Sioux Falls.
Thanks. I have since Googled and found out he graduated in '08.
I alway kind of felt bad for Babu was he bad teammate? was he bad representative of ISU? I think he kind of got a raw deal. I hope he kick some ass in the nba.
I've always blamed Jerry for Babu losing his restaurant.

Debatable. Would be a good OT thread sometime.Dude wasn't going to make it either way.
Seriously, that's a lot of talent. Still can't believe they got upset by Hickory in the finals.Good grief that 2008-2009 Ames team has to go down as one of the most talented smaller town public schools I have seen.
Harrison Barnes - UNC and 7th overall pick. has a world title.
Doug McDermott - CU, 11th overall NBA pick
Bubu Palo - ISU, G-League and Now NBA
James Kohler - D1 baseball player 6-8 (all sport guy)
Michael Weber - Played Division II Mizzou STL
Riley Stuve - Juco
Are we ignoring that there's someone named Skyler Flatten?
That team was great but what's weird is, ISU didn't really benefit from having this loaded team right in their own backyard. Obviously ISU athletics ended up just fine but the weird variables that were in play that made that happen are interesting.
Yep - basketball season is usually cold and windy + no social scene at all here. I will say though the Pentagon is a nice venue and the games we go to are well attended.Boy I agree. That would be quite a kick to the balls if you got sent down during the season.
Is that the one where we played Colorado a few years back?Yep - basketball season is usually cold and windy + no social scene at all here. I will say though the Pentagon is a nice venue and the games we go to are well attended.

He did get 14 minutes a game as a freshman and, had he been fully available, I'm guessing would have seen an increased work load both his JR and SR seasons.
Not me. But whatever transpired in in Ames, this is huge redemption for Bubu. The G-league served its purpose, and provided a road back for a guy who had otherwise been left on the outside looking in.Bubu would have played plenty if Fred was allowed to call the shots. Anybody still miss the old ISU president?
I’d take a Bubu type on every team.
We never really got to see him as an upperclassman. He could defend quick guards and get into the paint. Not bad for a guard off the bench.
