So I'm hearing/reading a lot of predictions suggesting we should handle WVU, and the logic isn't crazy. But I'm having a hard time reconciling that with how WVU played Texas. That said, I only saw snippets of their Texas game.

Someone who watched that game, help me understand. What should we expect Saturday?

Defense will play a great game, offense will be decent and Brock will bail us out. Special teams will be a dumpster fire as usual, we will win by 5.

WVU was also a 10-11 point underdog to Texas. Based on that I would expect a similar game. WVU ended covering that spread by only a point.

Just score watched the West Virginia/Texas game, so no true takes or observations here, but feels like that was a classic "look ahead" game for Texas with their eyes on Oklahoma this weekend.

Edit: Stewo beat me to the same point.

West Virginia would have won Texas game if not for turnovers. They are going to pass a lot against ISU. Can ISU get pressure without bringing everyone?

And can ISU's offense finish drives unlike first 3 quarters at Baylor? I expect a close game.

Trap game for Texas, i wouldn't read much into it.

Its Brocktober. ita closer than most people would like, but ISU by 9

It was close for a while but Texas pulled away and then West Virginia scores late to get it to 11.

I watched a lot of it. Texas didn’t look great.

This is probably my biggest concern with this matchup. WVU will focus on beating us over the top, where we've been susceptible. A couple of big plays in the passing game could be an equalizer.

1.) Look ahead factor for Texas.
2.) WVU can't run the football and JH will feast on a one dimensional offense.
3.) Texas is crazy beat up right now on both sides of the ball.
4.) **** WVU
5.) It's Brocktober b!tches, Clones roll!

I'm hoping for a game similar to the tech game 2 years ago. Close for awhile but ISU plays well on D and makes some big plays down the stretch.

Paging Marcel Spears for a pick 6!

There was a tweet I saw a few days ago that Texas has played like trash the week before the RRR the last 5 or 6 seasons. There are several reasons to not get too caught up in last week's game.

To be fair, Texas wasn't really anything special 5/6 seasons so I think the RRR was the outlier most of those years, not the prior game. For a few of those seasons, the OU game was their best played game of the year.
