Grass Lots for TCU

We’re going to lose our coach because of the ******* climate change, aren’t we?!?
No but I bet Jack Trice has turf next year...

Good gawd I hope so. September was a wash (no pun intended).
Our field won't recover in October, and will be dormant in November.

I was watching the "Team to the East" Saturday for 10 minutes (hoping they lose every game) --and admire how clean and tidy their field turf looked. And it will look good in late November.

Let's be real here...they haven't had home games on rainy days yet. Their field wouldn't look as good if they had the **** luck we've had.

I agree that this needs to happen, but I am concerned about where the rain water will go in this already concrete jungle of an area..
I keep seeing people bring this up but the area they are talking about paving would be a drop in the bucket. It's not that big of a deal.

I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as some make it out to be but it is always good to find some sort of permeable paver or water management system to have better water management. I think it’s also good as it can be used to help protect the new commercial area from flooding.

What the heck is happening at 2am on Saturday? For a few days, the forecast jumps from 10% or less chance of rain to 70% right at 2am. Is it the Iowapocalypse?

1" isn't out of the question especially if a thunderstorm happened to come through. Another thing to keep an eye on will be gusty winds throughout the day.

Nebraska even gets a frost advisory!

I would have thought they'd issued that around 8:00 last Saturday night, but I digress.

So is there a walkable place to park east of the stadium? I know they suggested people park on campus in places like the MU garage, but I really don't want to drive through campus on game day, sounds like a headache. Have they setup a park and ride anywhere since the grass lots closed?

Ames Christian School or Coldwater.

Thanks. I usually park in the giant Hy-Vee/Hobby Lobby parking lot, but lately they've had signs saying they will tow people who park there for football. Has anyone ever actually been towed during a game from places like Hy-Vee, Ames Christian, Coldwater, etc.?

Park at the power plant and walk University around.

Or park at the Ames High baseball field.
