I think this is pretty spot on. ISU/KSU is a lot like Iowa/Wisc in my opinion.We don't hate each other as fanbases (more of a begrudging respect), but it's a game both fanbases really want to win, and recognize as a big game.
At this point a lot of KSU fans consider a bigger game than Kansas even though they "hate" Kansas more.
I don't know that Iowa really has a parallel. Wisconsin would be a similar dynamic.
Both games are not the primary rivalry for either school, but they're a more meaningful game with bigger implications. It's the type of game you're ecstatic to win and bummed if you lose, vs relieved you win and feel like death if you lose, as the ISU/Iowa game is.
