Ouch, Iowa attendance today

Forced? The two schools have played for 101 consecutive seasons. Iowa can't say that about anyone on their schedule. The games are frequently hotly contested with wild lead changes, and heartbreaking finishes. Both are Midwestern ag schools whose fanbases are comprised of people largely from a rural Midwestern back ground.

There ain't nothing "forced" about it.

Iowa has played the Gophers a grand total of 122 times. Would make for a nice non-conference rival with ISU too despite the Jack Trice history

Yep. He's going to be a good one. He's got a shot and people in the the know seem to think so as well. They just don't seem to stockpile talent at the other positions as well. They've got a younger TE that they're high on as well. The jury is still out on the Gophers but Fleck has been able to amass some talent over the past 2-3 years.

Lol

Minnesota is terrible. That's what I'm laughing at. But to answer your question yes Iowa State will have a tougher schedule than Iowa this year like usual

They did win their bowl game and beat Wisconsin last season, something Iowa couldn't do at home. Up and down team but I wouldn't characterize them as terrible. They've already beat Fresno State (reigning 2018 Mountain West Champs) and Purdue on the road. Minnesota, Purdue and ISU share more similarities than not IMO.

ISU gets to play Oklahoma and the jury is still out on Texas. I'm not sold on them being a top 10 team but they're better than last year but not elite. Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan are probably better than anyone on ISU's schedule not named Oklahoma and equal or slightly better than Texas. Texas is probably the closest comparison to those three schools and probably is getting better QB play than those three.

Baylor's schedule has been an absolute joke this year

Best way to rebuild I guess and keep the $$ in-state. Baylor's been mostly a paper tiger and MSU exposed them a few years back. They sold their souls to the devil for a few wins

Michigan is better than Texas? What world are you living in

Said better or equal to. Their only loss was to Wisconsin and the Badgers look pretty tough this year. I don't see Iowa winning that one in Madison. Michigan has a lot of talent on that roster but laid an egg vs the Badgers. I'd put Texas up there with the Badgers and Penn State due to more consistent QB play. Michigan is below those two right now but it's a little early in the season to be rushing to judgement on them.

As for Purdue, they're probably on par with KSU, West Virginia and so on, especially with their QB out indefinitely. They can sling the ball in Brohm's system and that has been an equalizer for them. I don't think a fan of a team that is 2-2 probably should be calling anyone terrible at this point.

That definitely was a bad loss and they ended up going 8-5 that year. I guess ISU and Iowa have both lost to the FCS champs.

At least to Iowa's credit, they've beaten some pretty good teams and have a good bowl history (except for the Rose Bowl) Baylor is hardly on that level nor have they won consistently. Not going to puff up a team like Baylor with that sort of history off of the field. Taking cast offs from other schools (Oakman) was a symptom of Baylor's issues. Penn State should be included in that discussion as well.

Purdue is terrible and I hate Kansas State but they're much better than Purdue

Purdue isn't on par with Kansas. They lost to Nevada who just lost to Hawaii 54-3 and gave Oregon a real tussle loosing 77-6. Purdue is 1-3 with their lone win against 1-3 Vanderbilt. What's next, Rutgers would be middle of the pack in the SEC?

Like I said before, you probably should abstain from all football related discussions. You're clearly out of your element. Have you thought about going to therapy or purchasing edibles?

You just proclaimed a guy with 9 catches in 4 games against fcs and bottom feeder teams as some sort of weapon. You should never ever comment on anyone else’s knowledge of, well, anything.

you are really dumb. You don’t know anything about sports. You’re just another insecure piece of **** hawk fan trying to get acceptance from your betters.

So wait a second you moron, you’re sitting here bragging up **** teams cause they play in the **** division of a conference you root for, but the jury is still out on big 12 teams.

you’re too stupid to live.

like the rest of these window lickers like dex has become, they care way more about Iowa State than they do their own team.
