The Best Team Lost...Again

I think adj is really onto something. Even the NCAA 20 simulation agrees with him. Apparently they don't have a "Butt Muff" fumble on a punt return programmed into the game though. I'm guessing they will next year.

Pretty crazy how close to the actual score this game predicted. If they called just a few of those holding calls on Iowa, this very well could've been the final score. Of course we would've scored one more time for sure without that totally bogus holding call.

The simulation should count for something I feel, maybe a few extra AP voters will see this.

Didn't watch the simulation but did it reflect how poorly your special teams played? I do find it ironic that the Clones still only scored 17pts in a video game simulation.

I don't think it did, as I said earlier they probably never envisioned a "Butt Muff" fumble on a punt return so didn't program it into the game.

Weirder things have happened for me playing that video game.. Lol I'm just glad they had Brock Purdy in there with the downloaded rosters or else we would've had Sam Richardson calling the plays.

Just being honest. I truly do hope that the Clones are the toughest team on our schedule.
Iowa and Iowa State have a long way to go this year before any conversation of a conference title should be brought up lol. If Iowa somehow goes undefeated this year and make the CFP, they would be the best Iowa team in school history BY FAR. If they do that, props to them they'll deserve it!

I agree. Just having fun with CyTwins. I look at the Hawk's schedule and think that Wisconsin is def the team to beat in the West. Hawks need to get their secondary healthy so they can improve the back end of the defense before then and offensively they need to learn to finish drives without the TEs we lost. Clones need to clean up special teams and as you've mentioned stop stalling drives just across midfield. Oklahoma is obviously really good but the 2nd spot is still up for grabs. Texas looks to be decent but def not unbeatable.

I think we get Texas this year. It'll be a cold one in Ames and should really be exciting. Oklahoma is going to be extremely tough but as shown, anything is possible. And yeah I think Wisconsin is by far the toughest game coming from the West, but Nebraska and Minnesota are going to continue to improve and Northwestern and Purdue aren't cakewalks either. I think both teams have a lot in front of them and should be interesting to see how the rest of the year plays out.

If you guys get Riley Moss healthy the sky is the limit

I was disappointed too. Had the hawks played better 3 of those FGs should've been Touchdowns. Can't get away with that against better competition.
If holding were called against them, Iowa may not have scored at all. But they were allowed to do whatever they wanted.
