Who the heck said the game would not be close? I picked ISU to win by 10I am sure that all these Iowa fans saying that the only reason this year’s game was close was because of their injuries aren’t the same fans that were talking about how ISU only moved the on their first drive last year when ISU’s QB missed the majority of the second half....probably totally different people.

I guess I see where you want to label it differently, but he did get owned on that play when everyone knew what was coming.I'm shocked the whole thing was made up
If you watch the end of the game you can see where the ISU returner got....... you know the rest.If you actually want to see a guy get flattened watch Anthony Johnson toss Wifs on his ass at about the 40 second mark.
He got blocked by essentially three Iowa o-lineman.. Lol. What was he suppose to do? That's a TD almost every single time.I guess I see where you want to label it differently, but he did get owned on that play when everyone knew what was coming.
If you want to know why they called the hold on that 3rd down play it is because they totally missed it on the 2nd down play at the 20:13 mark on Gholston. It was either a hold or illegal hands to the face and a no call. So the refs either missed that or made up for it on the next play.If you actually want to see a guy get flattened watch Anthony Johnson toss Wifs on his ass at about the 40 second mark.
Yeah I know, not sure why no other guys were in that A gap with him. Iowa always does sneaks. He got blocked by essentially three Iowa o-lineman.. Lol. What was he suppose to do? That's a TD almost every single time.
more incompetence from that crew. twiceIf you want to know why they called the hold on that 3rd down play it is because they totally missed it on the 2nd down play at the 20:13 mark on Gholston. Referees rarely throw a flag to "make up for a call" unless it's pass interference. The referee saw Iowa's player fall to the ground and threw his flag. It didn't look like a hold during real time or on film. Either way, it was called and the game moves on.If you want to know why they called the hold on that 3rd down play it is because they totally missed it on the 2nd down play at the 20:13 mark on Gholston. I think we had Jamaal Johnson lined up to. Just a tough scenario for the defense and they put themselves into that situation by not making a few plays before this one.Yeah I know, not sure why no other guys were in that A gap with him. Iowa always does sneaks.

Iowa's best player is AJ Epenesa. Just because Iowa State played well on him doesn't mean he isn't their best player.
They did call illegal hands to the face. The penalty was declined...
Maybe.. I think he's still pretty dang good and is probably receiving a ton of attention from opposing teams right now. Towards the end of the year there will be enough film to evaluate to actually tell how good he is.AJ's been pretty irrelevant in 2 out of 3 games. Several of us knew that he was going to struggle as an every down DE.
To be fair, there have been plenty moments in Iowa State athletics where the complaining of referees has been justified.Another game and another round of my fellow Cyclones complaining about officiating. It gets old in a hurry.
I think you have the best defense in your conference and it will serve you well but there will be several more games where leaving that many points on the table will get you beat.
