Agreed, ISU had a good game plan for AJE and the Iowa DL. The ISU coaching staff is a good one and Iowa was lucky to escape Ames with the win. I just think it was the schemes to not let AJE get any kind of momentum in the pass rush, Iowa not letting Purdy win with the RPO, ISU capitalizing on the 4-3 base, Iowa not rushing more than 4, ISU senior OL stepping up and playing a good game. The delays had a lot to do with everyone being off a little. the wet field played a factor. ISU had a bye week to prepare for Iowa and the coaching showed with thier game plan.
