Let me guess, you didn't think the holding call was a big deal? (Waiting for your sarcastic response)
Is there an asterisk this year?

The refs blew a game changing call but I'm not going to put an asterisk next to it. Officials are human and make mistakes. One day I hope we catch a break like you guys did
Dang, didn't expect that. Thought it would be because of the weather delay, officials or the slippery grass field.
Epenesa with his 2 tackles and 1 sack in 3 games. Just domination.Oh, he got dominated too? All we heard all week was how Epenesa and the Iowa OL was going to dominate us. Epenesa finished with 1 tackle. LOL
Why would the weather delay effect ISU and not Iowa?

Just figured it had to be something. You are already using the officials as an excuse, didn't know if there were any others like the students rushing the field making the field conditions worse causing Purdy to slip and fall.
We would be too if we lost like that. Look at the Wisconsin game last year as an example.Just figured it had to be something. We are happy he is on our side in IC.Epenesa with his 2 tackles and 1 sack in 3 games. Just domination.
Agree with what you're saying. I think Purdy's fumble was even worse than the punt touch. Had we not fumbled there the game was looking bad for Iowa. You guys will. There were some bad calls this game, but the obvious nail in the coffin was the special teams for ISU. You go into football games knowing this stuff can happen. All ISU had to do was get the returner to catch the ball and they were going to drive on Iowa and their depleted and inexperience d back group. We saw it all game. ISU would have won if not for that botched punt.
Honestly the kid from UNI is a far better DE than Epenesa. We are happy he is on our side in IC.
I'm not using any excuses. If you don't want to acknowledge the phantom holding call I don't really care
You never game planned around the kid from UNI, CMC and crew game planned around Eppy. Everyone does. You would be dumb not to.Honestly the kid from UNI is a far better DE than Epenesa.
It was mostly Julian Good-Jones 1 on 1 with him. The occasional combo block and kick out blocks that always come with being a DE. I don't think we game planned for him anymore than we did call out Julian for getting worked by the DE from UNI.You never game planned around the kid from UNI, CMC and crew game planned around Eppy. Ray Lima was the best defensive player on the field yesterday. Iowa had to triple team him at times.Seems like trashing Epenesa is one of the go-to coping mechanisms after the loss. Kind of pathetic tbh. If he could transfer to ISU and have immediate eligibility he'd be by far your best defensive player. Iowa is lucky to have him for 1 more year before he's in the League.
FYI-He didn't get it past the line of scrimmage. Had nothing to do with a receiver in the area
