It is still a Hawkeye State

Has anyone done a wellness check on 1976 and Twins? As well as on their dogs? Little worried there.

Weird game, per usual. Teams looked pretty evenly matched. Surprised ISU's DL didn't get more heat on Stanley, our OL played solid.

Same for ISU's Oline, really. Iowa's stud (forget the name-- #94?) didn't get crazy but did start to get around the ball more late.

ISU's dline got out of their lanes a lot it looked. That was a strength just a year ago so hopefully they can hone thst back in.

Don't kid yourself, they'd still come to our games. It's amazing how many d-bag Hawk fans in Hawk gear I see in Jack Trice when ISU is playing other teams.... and yes, they stand up and cheer when the other team scores on ISU. Just the worst d-bags ever.

But it's nice they spend their hard earned money to support ISU's athletic department when Iowa isn't even playing ISU.
Very true. It’s surprising how much of that I see at our other games

Well Merriweather is awful and Hankins looked terrible week one (I didn't see week two). Jackson and Newell being out were big injuries though
Any worries going forward only putting up 17 on a secondary without one awful and another terrible player which were replaced by even worse players? I’m pretty sure there were two walkons at safety for a handful of plays on one drive. Yikes

Looks like the holding call was bad, that sucks. ISU got to do the play over and couldn't convert. Then ISU was gifted 90 seconds to go 40 yards to win the game with a FG and blew it. If you want to remember this game as a screwjob, have at it, but the number of ISU self inflicted wounds is much more of a deciding factor than poor officiating, and thats what most people will remember about this game, not 1 phantom holding penalty during the longest game ever.
