I was really impressed with the o line today. We averaged 4.8 yards per carry and kept Purdy pretty safe all day against a really good D line.

Agreed. I thought we controlled both sides of the lines pretty well. That doesn’t happen against Iowa very often.
I thought that would be our downfall. Turns out it was a few butthead mistakes.
Wish they would have ran the ball more, especially with Kene. But the line was fine; not the reason for the loss.
They were terrific. Too bad we didn't know how to use it.
Snaps in general were sloppy, which is expected with a new center in poor field conditions, but it does need to be cleaned up and would be the main criticism of this position group from today.

OL played great tonight. Thought it would be a big weakness tonight and it was a strength.
JGJ basically owned Epenesa.... and Bruns said Meeker just dominated his man on the BS holding call late in the game on the 4th and 13 for ISU. He said he would fight anyone that thinks that was truly a hold on Meeker.

OLine was no where near the issue I assumed they'd be. They held their own most of that game to make it winnable for us.
Actually I thought it was the Dline that was too high and out of their lanes a few times that was one difference.
They were fine against UNI. One sack on 41 attempts and a 4.5 ypc for the RBs.
They need the staff to call a good game and their teammates (TE, RBs, and Ourdy) to do their parts
Ball got out quick which helped. I think the OL was the least of the problems today.
Which is confusing as hell for me considering the things the refs let go from both lines earlier in the game. The singular holding they call throughout this entire game wasn't a hold.
