I was going to watch the KC-JAX NFL game yesterday on my antenna yesterday on Channel 8. I got no signal so I ended up watching it on PS Vue. Later in the day I turned on Channel 8 and had a very strong signal. Was there an issue with channel 8's signal? It didn't make sense that without a change in the weather, I would have such a difference in signal in a 4 hour span.

I dont know if you have the issue but when ever a car drives by my house it cuts into the signal. Luckily not much traffic goes by my house. But maybe a vehicle was idling outside causing interferemce.

You probably didn't ever have a strong signal. The nice thing about HD is when you get a strong enough signal it still looks great. No idea where you are but an indoor antenna pointed in the correct direction should get a pretty good signal for 30-40 miles at least.

There can be very specific wavelengths that affect the signal. If my wife turns on a hand held mixer the signal goes out. But that is with a long coax cable coming from a roof antenna. I have heard of garage door openers causing a problem. A car doesn't have enough EM to do anything unless maybe you own a Tesla.

My OTA channels were really screwy on Sunday too. I thought it might be rain/storm related. Not sure what's up.

I think it is more of the metal and what not causing just enough interference for a lower power antenna at the right elevation. We had the same issue at our old house using an indoor antenna in a window that was maybe 50 feet from the road at ground level.
