All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Colbert was very good for a freshman last year. He missed 2 or 3 tackles against Miami that he should have made, but LOL at claiming he looked terrible.

PFF graded him out real bad but yeah I'll take your biased opinion over them

It becomes more and more accurate each week as more data points are added to the model. But again, you already know this.
So its the most accurate at the end of the season when Iowa was 9-4 and Miss St was 8-5, and rated Mississippi St better.
Or Iowa also being 22 spots higher than 9-5 NW.

Yes. Mississippi State probably was better than Iowa was last year. Iowa was lucky to win that game.

And NW kept winning by smoke and mirrors - they were outgained by opponents by an average of 35 yards per game last season, which is more in line with a 4-8 team than a 9-5 team. I’m honestly still not sure how Northwestern won 9 games last year, but I don’t think they were that good. (For reference, Iowa outgained opponents by 80 ypg and Iowa State outgained opponents by 22 ypg). Pat Fitzgerald is a wizard.

Look, I don't think they were that good either, but didn't Iowa lose to them at home for essentially the Big 10 West title?

You must have been really impressed with Iowa State Saturday if you're going to be looking at yards

Not really. Iowa outgained UNI by over 300 yards last year. That’s kind of what you’re supposed to do against FCS teams.

OK just checking because after the UNI game you were talking about how ISU struggled on offense without Butler but the yards tell a different story

We moved the ball easily, we just couldn't figure out how to score, which obviously has to be fixed.

Do they really? 470 yards in a triple OT game and 5.4 yards per play against an FCS team is not good at all.
