Is Iowa's QB play really much improved?

Of course Stanley will look better. They have an all conference receiver in Oliver Martin

Sounds like the shifted the starting guard over and the new guard is an Iowa kid

Probably going to be hard to get much useful insight from the Miami not from Florida game. He was pretty vanilla and did what he needed to do while knocking some rust off. Overall, I'd say some improvement.

The biggest thing might not be a passing improvement, but a complete change in his game style. We saw a few glimpses of the running ability, which some in the Hawkeye camp have indicated might be stressed much more this year. There has even been talk of installing a nickle and dime option system, a la 2007 Pat White/Steve Slaton. You heard it here first.

If Stanley beats ISU because of his running ability I'll be officially concerned for ISU's season on the whole.

This post is hilarious. Stanley is nothing more than an average, game manager quarterback. He over throws receivers all the time and doesnt have what it takes to put the team on his shoulders and win a big game. He's been the same exact player for 3 years now, nothing will change this year.

As far as the best receivers in the KF era, I dont know who is saying this but its quite hilarious. These current guys couldnt hold a jockstrap to the DJk/Mcnutt/Keenan Davis trio.

We will have an all Iowa starting lineup on the OL for the next few weeks.

Banwart (Algona) is 50/50 it sounds like but the 5 that played the most reps for Iowa against Miami OH were all Iowa HS kids that all placed top 3 at some point in their career at state wrestling.

Kyler Schott is shaping up to be the next great walk on success story at Iowa and is line to get his first career start on Saturday.

Starting a walk on? Yikes!

i think if we make them one dimensional it will help our cause more than anything. Stanley did most of his damage last year against Minnesota and Indiana, but he also had 5 games where he failed to throw for 200 yards. Interestingly, Iowa went 5-0 in those games. If Stanley needs to put a team on his back, that’s when he struggles.

Threw for 3 TDs in the Outback Bowl. Pretty sure they ran for negative yards that day

We'll assume they're wrestling over the scraps Stanley leaves at the training table.

I know. That's not right. Stanley doesn't leave any scraps at the training table.
