Submit Your Questions for the 9/4 Mid-Week Mailbag

You can add any ISU basketball player from the 2010-2011 season (i.e., the first Hoiberg year) to the men's basketball team for the upcoming season. Who do you add and why?

Doing two scenarios (one with and one without Bolton eligible) would be acceptable.

We look like a bigger, slower team all around compared to last season. Mike Rose and Deshaunte Jones really stuck out to me in this regard. I don’t like this and I think it’s going to be a mistake going forward.

Prove me wrong.
Jones looked slower last year imo

Head referee last Saturday: Too thicc, just right, or needs to eat more more meat?

Despite out gaining our last two opponents by 500 yards (Wash St & UNI), we have combined for 17 penalties and a -3 turnover margin. At what point do we start playing more disciplined football?

Had to look this up and I had forgotten about the disparity in yards in the Alamo Bowl.

No two seasons or teams are alike but that's an interesting trend.

Going back even further, we’ve lost the turnover battle in 5 straight games, with the last time we had less than the opponent being the KU game. We’ve actually only had less turnovers in 3 of the last 16 games, although there are many games in which we tied.

It's the first week of the month. It's the first bye week of the season. It's the Mid-Week Mailbag.

Get your questions in now!

What is the purpose in the supposed conservative play calling in week one? It’s not like people don’t have tape of three years of our current coaching staff in action.

That’s just a crazy stat. So what, we’re 10-6 in those games, even though we didn’t win the turnover battle.
