Coaches poll

The Coaches Poll is dumb. Love how Nebraska moved up, since they were so dominant against South Alabama. Lol.

Yup good thing their defense/Special teams won the game for them. I was really surprised how their offense struggled with Frosty leading the way.

Yep because the TV networks and College Gameday shows think " hmmm what will this team be ranked at the end of the year? oh ok well we better put them on primetime because they are going to be top 10 at end of the year" come on man!

As a UNI fan, why are you so concerned about where ISU is ranked?

I guess it depends what you look at. ESPN has us unranked and Nebraska 25.

The initial AP tweet had us with the same amount of points at Nebraska but listed us as the first name in the "others receiving votes" even though we had the same points as Nebraska. The AP site fixed that...

21 Syracuse @ Maryland
22- Wash. St vs. Northern Colorado
23- Stanford @ USC
24- Boise vs. Marshall
25- Nebraska @ Colorado

Opportunities for these teams to possibly lose.. Stanford and Nebraska more than the others.

I'm going to choose to believe that was an honest mistake.

We need to treat every game as a Superbowl. Last Saturday's performance will not cut it versus most of the Big 12, let alone Iowa.

YES - totally agree! You hear that folks - every game is a Superbowl! We only play 12 per regular season, so quit pretending we don't put as much emphasis on Iowa as we do a B12 game -it's all football ! BEAT IOWA!

Maryland is a 2 point favorite at home vs Syracuse.

Maryland's QB is transfer Josh Johnson from Va Tech, who did some nice things when he was a Hokie.

Isn't it Josh Jackson? Just going off memory.

He lost to Old Dominion! Until he got hurt, at least.
