Well, first weekend of legal betting. How'd you do?

I didn't really see this in a thread so thought I'd post. Mods if it needs moved to another location please do so.

I'm not really Nostradamus, but...I did nail Iowa and Iowa State this weekend.

Northern Iowa + 23 (No way in any universe is ISU going to beat UNI by that much...ever. I've seen way too many of these games. I should have bet the house on this. That being said I didn't see it THAT close)

Iowa -22.5 (Kept the game interesting)
 
Army -22.5 MISS
Illinois -18 HIT
Boise State +7 HIT
Georgia -22 HIT
Auburn -3.5 MIRACULOUS HIT
Oklahoma Under 80 PUSH

I'll take those results every weekend

Miami of Ohio at +25
Houston at +23.5
Arkansas pine bluff at +54.....yeah +54 holy ****

So far I am 9-0
 
I hit on Iowa, Clemson and Wisconsin. Missed on the over for UVA v. Pitt and OU covering.
 
If anyone wants to bet during the week on something. Some advice...Bet MLB games that the pitching matchup is lopsided and take the first 5 inning bet on the moneyline for the best pitcher's team.
team 1 =pitcher 3-0
team 2= pitcher is 1-2

Take team 1 to be ahead after 5 innings

Miami v UF: Under 46 Hit
Miami v UF: UF -7 Miss
Utah v BYU: Utah -5.5 Hitx2 (accidentally bet it twice before I set up my spreadsheet)
Utah v BYU: Under 48 Hit (meant to parlay but messed it up)
CU v CSU: CU -10 Hit
CU v CSU: Over 56 Hit (messed up the parlay I had planned with CU -10)
Purdue v Nev: Nevada +11 Hit
Okie ST v Ore St: Okie ST -14 Hit
Tulane v Mich ST: Under 48 Hit
Wis v S Flor: Wis -11 && Under 58.5 Hit
UGA v Vandy: UGA -23 Hit
Vir v Pitt: Vir -2.5 Hit
Miami v EIU: Over 49 Hit
Miami v EIU: Miami +22 Miss
Miami v EIU: ML EIU Hit

The theme of the week was not paying attention to my bets and not parlaying like I wanted to on a few games and I ended up just betting individual. The lesson as always...don't drink and bet.

You're going to have to hit like 80% to make any money doing that. You have to be betting on like -250, -300 lines with this strategy.

Naive question- Is there a good site to do it online or do you need to go to the casino? Wouldn’t mind dabbling a bit if I can do it at home.

You have to go the sports book to get it initially setup, but after that, as long as you are within the state boundaries, you can place bets.

William Hill is the sportsbook in Iowa. I did everything thru the app in advance, then it told me to go to a sportsbook...then you need to be inside the place and take a picture of yourself and that's about it. Pretty easy.

The app is not in the google or apple store, you have to get it from their website. Looks like Prairie Meadows has a link on their site as well:

-W (Nevada moneyline vs Purdue)
-W (UNI cover vs ISU)


0-1 on Parlays (4-1, thanks Tennessee)

What kind of odds are you getting then? You're betting the ML on a heavy favorite, that's not going to be good odds whether it's after 5 or 9 innings.

Looking at one today, Clevinger vs Cease, it's Clevinger -270 for the 5 inning ML.

You mean like that horrible 2015 ISU team? (31-7)
But I agree, its rare, thats why I would never touch a UNI/ISU line.
