Wow, that’s scary stuff. Just saw a deal on IPTV where they are working on making 911 calls much better at location. Made a call from a 911 dispatch center and showed the location 4000 yds away, not very accurate.

Hopefully she is ok long term (I doubt it). Hopefully there aren’t others he has done this too. Hopefully they put him in general population and he meets an untimely end after being raped repeatedly. Sick **** deserves nothing less.

Wow. Glad she was found.

Makes you wonder how close we are to situations like these daily without having any clue.
That's really spooky to think about. Good reminder to always be watchful. Who knows how many times she might've tried signaling for help in the last month.

I was just saying something like this to my wife.

A woman was murdered after getting into a car she thought was her Uber ride.

Killed because she got into the wrong car? How many sick ***** are just around us??

If the William Hill betting app can tell to within a foot that I am within the boundaries of the State of Iowa surely the 911 dispatch system should have the technology to determine the exact location of a call.
I understand there is a difference, the app has access to GPS data, a phone call does not. However, triangulation of a cell signal should be able to get them within a few hundred feet at least, but if you're only hitting one tower, that's where you could be miles away.

Yup. Just think how long BTK lived a "normal" life while killing people and leading the police on a wild goose chase and keeping the public scared for their life.

A little more recent paper that outlines the issues. More than meets the eye, for sure.

Human trafficking is a lot more prevalent in Des Moines and Iowa than we want to know.

This. My ex gf had a few interesting encounters while she’d travel to visit here and back from CR on I 80. Eventually it unnerved her to a point where she’d always fill up in CR, and if she had to stop before going back when it was dark out, I’d roll with her to the nearest gas station by my place. This of course was around the time Molly tibbets went missing, etc.
