I just watched this Netflix documentary on Scott Tucker who was a huge payday loan guy in Kansas City. He operated illegal payday loan businesses in KC under the guise they were owned by Indian tribes in Oklahoma. His businesses ripped off consumers approx. $1.3 billion. His lack of remorse and blaming the government in this show is sickening. He's currently serving 16 years in prison but imo that isn't enough he's scum and I hope he gets shanked in prison.

Oh and his Attorney is just as big of a scum and is in prison too.

If you get a chance watch this.

They were all pretty good (6 episodes/cases if I remember). They have been on there more than a year.
 
I can add so much to this story, although I never met Scott personally. I did meet his brother once. Tucker got the most press, but he's not the only one. Just google Richard Mosely and Martin Webb. You know who doesn't get enough bad press in this is US Bank who was banking Tucker. They had to take like a 650 million dollar write down on the Scott Tucker thing because they were looking the other way the whole time. I should write a book.......

I saw his house on Hallbrook this summer when I golfed there. They confiscated like two dozen expensive cars when they sent this SOB to prison.

I worked in the credit risk industry. My path crossed with lenders on all risk spectrums of the lending industry. Plus I'm in Kansas City ,where Tucker ran his operation. Beyond that, I'd rather not discuss it in this forum beyond what is publicly available information. The local rag newspaper "the pitch" did a big investigative journalism piece on the industry here in KC. It's a 3 part series of articles.
 
I'm still pissed thinking about how pompous this guy is thinking he did nothing wrong and that the government just came after him for no reason. UGHHHH!!
