Hawk fans gonna turn on Stanley

You're fine to think Stanley is better, although every CFB analyst says otherwise, but you're straight up wrong here dude.

I very well could be. All I have to base my opinion on is the games I personally watched. I’m sure he made some super impressive throws over the course of the season, I just didn’t see them.

You must not have seen them. There were some fantastic balls that he threw, and a lot that did not go to Butler too.

I’m sure more views/clicks are good for business, but at what point does quality of the product play a role?

I currently pay, but would pay more to get rid of the dipshits. The Hawk fans that don't troll can stay.

Blows my mind how you can watch a top 10 QB and not be impressed but then watch a QB not even in the top 50 miss throws all over the field and think he's good
Total QBR for last season Purdy #21 76.7 Stanley #27 74.2 . But Stanley was higher the last 3 games. Purdy is good but Stanley is better than most and good enough to win with the talent around him.

I think a reasonable person would take Purdy over Stanley at this point in time. But I also think fans calling Purdy elite is very premature IMO (he's still a very good QB at this point). But let's see how he does over the course of an entire season before anointing him the second coming of our lord and savior JC. Drew Tate looked elite his first season but we all saw how the rest of his career turned out. But I don't think this is the thread for reasonable people.

This is solid analysis. For the same reason I am assuming Stanley will go 0/285 and Herky's testicles will be completely pulverized.

Use a stat that shows Purdy as better but then refuses to admit Purdy is better

Drew Tate actually put up better stats his Junior year, but the team around him was worse. They were still really close to a special season though.

Great news about the Iowa State's program versus flame war about Iowa's program...

The numbers speak for themselves about what people really like.

Yes. As I already pointed out, in the few games I saw of Iowa State, Purdy was rarely asked to make any difficult throws. The vast majority of his yardage was on passes to wide open receivers or Butler and/or Montgomery making a tremendous play. I fully acknowledge that I may have just watched the wrong games, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with Purdy as a passer in the games I saw.

What happens to Nate if he doesn't have 5 seconds to step and throw?

What you just said is very reasonable and well thought out unlike some others. Pretty much the point I've been trying to make but you said it better. My only other point is that Stanley is not BAD. He played a couple BAD games but overall he is a pretty good college QB and the gap between him and Purdy is not as wide as some on here believe. That is right now today not what they project Purdy to be later in his career.
