Hawk fans gonna turn on Stanley

Wait what? Wins don’t matter across college football? Thataway to exhibit that ISU losing mentality.

You tried to run that same tired Waterloo hawk look how historic and relevant we are schtick that has made you the least popular fan base in the midwest.

Nobody that isn’t from Iowa cares about Iowa.

Was driving this evening and Hawk Talk came on after the 1st 30 minutes of hearing Dolph talk up every position and how they all are better than last yr (except maybe TE). I've come to the conclusion there is no reason for anyone to play them and just take the forfeit instead.

All positions should be better except TE and safety. You could make the argument that the DL will be worse because they lose so many starters, but they arguably have more talent along the DL this year with Epenesa, Golston, and Nixon.

Went to the same HS as Jared Goff, and the head coach said he has a better arm than Goff did. Also threw for 4,000 yards and had a 50:2 TD:INT ratio in just his senior year of HS. Good prospect indeed.
When does he enter the transfer portal?

No wonder Oregon State wanted him so bad

Did Dolph then turn to discussing his deep and abiding friendship with Mad Fran, too?

Rhoho, and all the other alts were some of the worst on display.

Shouldn’t you be going to save uni athletics, or something?

Stanley is perfect for his program. He's a decent thrower and decision maker, maybe a little lacking in touch on his deep ball, and learning how to maneuver in the pocket better. But he's certainly not a transcendent talent, or a guy who can carry a team by himself.

Purdy's ceiling is much higher.....his decision making improved markedly as the season progressed, and with nearly a full year of experience behind him, will likely continue to improve at reading defenses.

I think he'll be a nice stopgap until Hogan gets to campus. If Petras can hold off a kid like Hogan for a year, more power to him. Going to be tough to keep Deuce though, big time programs like Georgia, Tenn, Okie State, and ISU want him bad.

Forgot to add setting an NCAA record for passing efficiency by a true freshman and his rushing touchdowns
