He has an Architectural Design degree from Stanford. He’ll be alright. That or ESPN will pay him like $10M a year to be in the booth.

He's a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer that won't be because he simply couldn't stay healthy. I don't blame him at all - if I were injured all the time I'd want to quit as well. Has to suck being in pain all the time. To me the only shocking thing is he's doing this two weeks before the season starts. The Colts are effed.

Dude has literally been all over the world the last several years trying to get his shoulder fixed, and he gets injured again this preseason. Puss isn't exactly the word I'd describe for his retiring.
He always seemed to genuinely love football and seems like a guy that would retire when it was no longer fun. I can see him coaching.
