Iowa Football Recruiting

FIgured you were trolling. No coach has ever lucked into 5 Top 10 finishes.

He has greater aspirations than being compared to a previously failed head football coach that tripped into success. If there was an award for "luckiest coach during career" Kirk would have to be the guy. Pathetic career at Maine. Abysmal start at Iowa. Dude is one lucky cat.

20 years isn’t luck and neither is all the success he brought to Iowa. But I get why isu fans can’t handle the truth.

Well when it is the typical isu fans tossing around bs asking for a link tends to prove it.

This coming from a hawk troll on a rival site. God you are sad! Hawk sites too boring for you? Wondering what your next screen name will be once you get booted again. What are you on your 5th screen name? That's what you call being obsessed!

Remember he gave up his children for this. His wife left him, and took them away from Jeff.

In college football Kirk has certainly been a trail blazer relating to unbelievable luck. His history as a coach was pathetic. There was literally nothing that indicated he could manage being a head coach(with success. He had already proven at Maine he couldn't cut the mustard). Having Bielema and Chuck Long on his staff was a perfect example of pure luck. Imagine the stroke of luck he had with Philbin. If Philbin had not been there Iowa would not be what it is today. Philbin had been the offensive coordinator at Alleghany(won a national championship) and that dude knew how to win. He was really the horsepower on that coaching staff. Without the luck he got with Fry handing him solid assistants and securing Philbin Kirk would not be where he is today.

It is nearly impossible that Kirk demonstrated any acumen as head coach. He and his family owe much over their ill-gotten fortune to his assistants. Very lucky coach. There was a reason he wasn't the first through fourth candidate that should have had the job.

Top Ten seasons are only due to luck because isu fans say so.

Bill Belichick lucked into those 6 Super Bowl titles too.

He had already proven at Cleveland he couldnt cut the mustard as an NFL HC.

Nah. You know his resume sucked when he took the job. You like everyone else whined and cried when you didn't get stoops. Bowlsby gambled big time. Incredible luck!

Look at BB's coaching tree. Look at Kirk's. Kirk is one lucky ******.

I don’t care about his resume at Maine. I do care about his Top Ten seasons at Iowa though. Do you really care that much about what any of isu coaches did before they got to isu?

That’s weird.
