.

When was the last time the twins were neck and neck the last eight weeks of the year? I know one of those 163 game years they closed a big gap late but I don’t know which one. Seems like those years in Joes prime the division was ours from the get go.

You probably aren't old enough to remember 1967..........four AL teams in the chase right up to the last couple days.Carl Yastrzemski carried the Red Sox to the pennant.

Buxton is currently not partaking in baseball activities. Going to be a while longer than next week for him. Cruz should be back for the next series.

Sounds like Buxton won't even be evaluated for assignment until early September. Yikes!

Indians Watch: Yanks up 3-2 with Chapman facing Santana, Puig and Ramirez in the 9th.

Drama Llama time.

Edit: Yanks win with Chapman hitting at 102 mph.

Schoop was due. Great win but Having the tying run in scoring position in 7th 8th AND 9th.... I’m gonna lose a lot of hair before October.

Cleveland Watch Game 3: Can't say Yanks aren't bringing some intensity vs Indians. Gardner, Boone and Sabathia all ejected from the game. Boone got tossed than 1st base ump didn't like Gardner banging his bat on the dugout ceiling so tossed him and than I am assuming CC told the ump to go **** himself (as CC is wont to do at the drop of a hat ) and he got tossed to.

Rookie infielder Estrada is now in right field. Never played an inning of outfield in the minors.

Edit: This will come into play tomorrow. Ump that tossed CC is behind the plate Sunday and CC is pitching. :(

Edit 2: Down go the Indians.

Gardner is not dealing with a full deck.

Back to the Twins--- Berrios looking to get back on track after giving up six early runs. Ex-Twin Danny Santana is have a career year. Good for him. Just hope he doesn't get his third HR tonight.

Gonna be a hot one in Arlington today. Around 100 for the game with heat index of 105. Guess that's why they will be playing in a new park next year with A/C and retractable roof.

Where will the new park be located?

Dang, there must have been almost 500 fans at the game in Texas yesterday!

That's why they want the roofed stadium option. The team and fans fade in the August heat each year. Been proving it for over 40 years and finally giving in to it.

Now if the Twins figure out not to schedule home games the first two weeks of April we may have something.
