Take the damn quiz. (I am actually finding myself pretty entertaining right now).
Looks like he's gained some perspective and he's served his time. That said, he's ****** up three lives big time. They're living the rest of their days affected by what he did to them. So I have zero interest in rooting for him to be 'one of the greatest comebacks ever'. Be productive, don't **** up again. That's it as far as I'm concerned. Just because he ran fast and hit hard doesn't mean his story of redemption should shine bright while his victims live with his actions daily.
EDIT: Never been a fan of the Gazette, but that was a really solid article and piece of storytelling by Emmert.
I couldn't agree more with you. I would like the redemption story for him, but limited at redemption not glorification. There is nothing he can do to unring the bell from the savage attacks he unleashed on those victims.
It is terrible the impact that it had on his family. I find it interesting they quote the brother and the mom. The mention the sister by name. I can't imagine the grief his father felt when viewing the crimes for what they were, which lead to his self-harm.
I confess the story is well done.

It is reasonable to think that perhaps Purdy snuck up on some teams last year. We will see. He’s a very promising quarterback.

Epenesa snuck up on teams last year. Very promising player though
Epenesa has played lights out since he has been at Iowa. To be fair, so has Purdy. Not saying he isn’t a good player. However, let’s wait until after a little time passes before we say great.
Let's just be realistic here. There are two top 50 players in the state of Iowa. Bama wanted both. I know Epenesa didn't even play half the snaps last year but they're still both great
