For two games against the clones, he sure was dragging something.FIFY
So PFF thinks both teams just have one player in the top 50 (Epenesa and Purdy).
In terms of high end talent that is probably right but I think the main reason there's a talent gap between the two teams is because we have developed depth that Iowa hasn't
No idea on the depth of ISU, but I’m sold on the depth at Iowa. I think the two deeps are really strong with the exception of center, safety, and fb.

I think Iowa does have depth at the RB position but every one of them isn't unreal or anything.. they've all been okay-decent.You have depth at Guard, WR, RB, LB, etc?
Just woke up, what did I miss?
Stanley - 51
Purdy - 8
That's quite the gap
Here's the deal. Purdy had a really good year as a freshman last year and everyone is talking about him. If he continues to get better, he's going to be a premier player in CFB. Purdy definitely has to show what he can do again this year, but out of every standing and ranking I've seen in regards to best players, performers, and QB's for this upcoming season, Purdy has been ahead of Stanley on every single list. We'll obviously see what happens this fall but it's very exciting and fun to see the meltdowns from people who refuse to believe he's that good.Really crazy to think that there are Hawkeye fans out there that think a guy not even in the top 50 is as good as a guy in the top 10

I would say it has to do with ISU having QB's come in and take over halfway through the year and do pretty good, and then the next year be not so good. The difference in this situation is the guy we have was an under the radar talent that we pulled away from big schools (unlike some of the others), he has a really good mentality and head on his shoulders (unlike Park), and he wasn't only putting up good numbers against poor opponents. Purdy was incredibly consistent, and you could see there was something different about him, which is what a lot of these media members have said. He has this moxie / energy he gives off that is not seen in many players.I guess I just don't understand why people think last year was a fluke. The dude turned down Bama and A&M, he obviously is incredibly talented

Love our stable of backs. Sargent's a beast. Sounds like the freshmen Goodson and Byrd are impressing as well.
