Looking for a indoor venue to host my daughter's 1st birthday in October. Will have roughly 40-50 guests. Would prefer a space where we can bring our own food/decorations, but would be open to a restaurant if pricing for venue+food was reasonable. Outside of needing tables/chairs and a bathroom, can't think of any other necessities.

We live in Ankeny - would be open to suggestions anywhere in the metro. We've called a lot of the "standard" spots; golf courses, hotel conference rooms, rec centers, etc. Some are okay, and some of them are way more than we want to spend. Hoping CF can provide some outside the box ideas!

Thanks!

I think some of the newer hy vees have a community room that can be rented. The store I worked at in ames did after their remodel.

My neighbor just had his son's graduation party at the Woodland Reserve Greenway building. If you're not familiar where that is, it's on 36th St across the street from Briarwood golf course, right next the big Methodist church. I have no idea on the cost, but it sounds like pretty much what you're looking for.

The Lakeside Center near Hawkeye Park has more than enough room for what you need. No idea what kind of prices they charge.
