All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Iowa hasn't been able to run the ball under Brian with NFL OL and TEs blocking for them

Again, Sargent had similar yards per carry and was more likely to score a TD per carry. He’s back. Montgomery is not. Youve got a bunch of guys and hope.

So in 2 years he’s had a 1,000 yard rusher (Wadley 2017) and had his top 2 rushers average 4.7 ypc in 2018 (Sargent and Young).

Iowa vs ISU rushing stats (ypg):
2017- Iowa 139.2, ISU 113.1
2018- Iowa 148.4, ISU 130.2

Iowa hasn't averaged even 4 ypc under Brian yet and they play in the Big Ten West. Lol cmon

ISU rushing attack will be fine. Some very talented but unproven players in that room.

So Beyer has a bunch of talent at tight end. We need to give the edge to Iowa there. Nixon was recruited and offered by Alabama, has received rave reviews, DT goes to Iowa. Are we going to give the edge to someone who has potential or are we going on proven production?

The only thing your RBs proved last year is that they weren't good. You guys win 1 or 2 more games last year with Eno

You're talking two separate lists. For now gotta go with what's been proven. My end-of-season list would look different, I think Colbert will emerge and be there as a LB, I think B. Smith could be one of the WRs, wouldn't be surprised if one of ISU's RBs ends up on there, and yes I think Nixon will be one of the top 4 DL by season's end.

I think you are trying to prove your point to the wrong person.

Statistically Sargent was a better back than Montgomery last year. Statistically the Iowa backs were better than the Iowa State backs last year. The difference is that Iowa returns all their backs. You’ve got a bunch who haven’t proven anything. Iowa RB>>>>>ISU RB. Now that might change. The ISU backs may come out and run for 200+ a game. They haven’t proven anything yet
