Iowa Football Recruiting

Kids can go on visits elsewhere, but they have to be up front with the coaches before doing so.
If kids can commit early they should sign an LOI. Nobody should commit if they aren't ready to stay true to the commitment. If anyone that recruited them leaves they should be granted a release. Doesn't mean they can't recommit but shouldn't be held hostage.

He said he had to get a degree before he went pro? That's pretty dumb. Do the smart thing like Daniels and come back and finish it instead of costing yourself millions

Are you really trying to say Parker isn't at fault for putting a kid who wasn't ready to play on an island? Lol you're such a homer

He said he made a promise to his mom. You think what he did wasn’t smart, he probably thinks it’s important to keep your word to your mom. Maybe that isn’t important to a Clone fan.

I know you really don’t understand football so I’ll explain this to you. When a game begins, there are two sets of players and two sets of coaches. They are called teams. Each team has the same objective, scoring more points than the other team. One of the ways to score more points is to put your players at an advantage and to put the other teams players at a disadvantage. That’s the job of he coaches.

Iowa was playing that day with two freshman corners. No way were they going to be able to ensure that neither corner was not "in an island". I realize that someone, like you, who doesn’t understand football would be unable to see all of this. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask.

You must be new to the updated definition of committed. I'm not saying he will flip but as long as kids are visiting other schools they aren't committed.

Yeah, the interview he did with Luke Feddersen yesterday after his visit to Iowa didnt sound like a kid that was firmly committed anywhere.

Right back at ya. Sorry for calling you out on your stupidity...
I disagree. I didn't think it was our best coached game. You can have the opinion that Campbell and Heacock did a great job. But the results speak louder than anything. EOS

Yep, nothing would surprise me when it comes to Twedt. I still think ISU is in good shape, but I could see him flipping too.

That's just my assumption and it very well could not be true. That's not trolling but no I don't have facts about it like I do with Parker losing Iowa the Purdue game

So now it’s Parkers fault players got injured? isu fans have said the reason isu lost to Iowa last fall was because Kempt got hurt and had to leave the game.

So when are injuries a coaches fault and when aren’t they?

Holding a team to 6 points on two field goals with 5 minutes to go in the 4th means whatever John Heacock was doing was working. Matt Campbell struggled as the OC and it definitely showed, which is why he wasn't the OC the whole year. I don't know if anyone has said CMC did a good job in the Iowa game. I know it was his first game ever calling the plays, so I'm not blaming him for anything, but it being his first game definitely showed.

I just read it. It was nice to hear that he was really moved by one of the best traditions in sports, The Wave.

With isu to running 2 plays in Iowa territory after isu’s opening drive, shows just how good a coach Phil Parker is.

I think he's a really good coach but cherrypicking that game when it was CMC's first game calling the plays isn't the most accurate representation of his coaching. Great defensive game by both teams where both teams could barely move the ball and Iowa made the big 3rd down play to win the game. Two years ago Iowa State torched Iowa's defense with Tom Manning as the OC.. He's now back. So we'll see how things go this year.

It was a great defensive game for both DC’s. In 2017 it was the OC’s that great games.

I just went and looked at the play-play chart from the game. I don't know what game I am thinking of, could have sworn it was iowa that Heacock got "worked" by the OC from the other team-it wasn't the Iowa game. I stand corrected.
