Obviously, this is all hypothetical. And in 2024, if there really is a true shake-up for everything in the NCAA/Contracting with networks, and the Big 12 needed to expand - then I would consider bringing back Missouri.
IMO, if the Big 12 had to add, the only schools they should consider are Power 5 schools:
Arkansas
Arizona
Arizona St.
Missouri
Kick out Baylor
Maybe Colorado again?
That's it. Honestly, the Pac 12 is really dying. Could be perfect time to poach them in 2024.
Because I hold a grudge I say F em. But because of the history, regional games, rivalry, wanting the old big 8 teams back I say hell yes. For me the latter wins out on this one, at least for today. Tomorrow I might change my mind.
Would love to lord it over them for having to 'crawl back'. Other than that they can rot in hell.
I don't understand the "Missouri only" responses. They're the ones who screwed the conference the most.
Before hiring Hoiberg and Scott Frost I would have said yes to both. Now, I don't want to play Hoiberg 2x per year. Our conference BB schedule is tough enough now.
As for Football, It's not that I'm afraid to play a Scott Frost coached team every year. But I can see their FB fans rising to a new level of douchedom if they have any kind of success. No thanks to tolerating that every year. Suck it Nebby.

**** Nebraska and **** Missouri. Nebraska left because they are hypocrites and Missouri whored themselves out and really put the Big 12 in a bad spot.

Don't want to play Fred. Would hate seeing ISU stomp him (which would happen more often if we did play them) and on the flip side, him and Nebby catching us briefly from time to time.

Eh I'm torn.
Part of me has nostalgia for the Big 8 and early Big 12 days. It would be fun to have Nebraska come back and regularly get beat by "lowly Iowa State". We'd also get Nebraska vs OU back which is a classic rivalry.
But their arrogant superiority complex would get old again real fast.
However, I'd still take them over Missouri.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I hate Missouri more than Nebraska, not just as a team, but as a state. Their "wanna be southern" d-bag attitude really ticks me off. They wanted to go to the SEC for money, but also because they relate on far too many negative levels with their "confederate brothers" which is a nice way of saying that they wish they could be more overtly racist than they are.
