Iowa Football Recruiting

I don’t know of any schools to have a depth chart that says what positions every defensive back is playing. There are a lot of schools that employ that tactic though.

Is this really new to clone fans?
I enjoy your participation here. It is awfully fun having a punching bag to ply with.

King came back to Iowa because his mother wanted him to get his degree.
I also don't think Parker cost King any money. Parker didn't make King come back, he made that decision on his own. I respect him for coming back and getting his degree. That can go a long ways. Parker's a good d-backs coach, and he definitely could be top-25. Cyclone's hired Matt Caponi, the d-backs coach from West Virginia, and he's actually put in 5 defensive backs since he started in 2016 there, while Parker has put in 3 during that span of time. I'm not saying who's better I'm saying that they both could be top-25, but I don't really want to research all the other schools who could be on that list. I do know one thing, neither are even close to the top d-back schools who most likely have some of the best coaches at that position.

James Daniels left early and got his degree. I think Ferentz and Parker telling King to come back was a real bad move on their part

King is going to get a massive pay day in a couple of years when he hits free agency, barring injury, if the Chargers dont extend him prior to that.

It is laughable to think that he throw away any money by coming back to Iowa for his senior season.

He would have gotten way more money on his rookie contract if Kirk and Parker told him to leave after his junior year

How much do you want me to educate you on in regards to college football? I can explain what a nickel or dime coverage is but that doesn’t mean anyone in the country actually produces a depth chart telling people who don’t know anything about football how the positions lay out.

I'm tired of this nickel and dime stuff!

I personally find it weird how much credit fans give coaches for kids making it to the NFL. I'm not saying that coaches don't have an influence but give the kids credit for working their tails off to get better.

This is a very nice get. I think he is really going to blow up over the next year.

Hes Top 400 based on 247 rankings so not sure what his ceiling is but I love this get.

Ideally, Iowa fills both of their LB spots in the 2021 class with instate kids.

What INT's are you thinking of?

The ones where he was playing a deep half as part of a nickel package included 2015 Indiana game in the 4th Quarter. 2015 Wisconsin game in the 2nd Quarter. 2015 Pitt game 1st Quarter on goal line. Tax Slayer Bowl in 3rd Quarter where we rolled to deep coverage.

The staff is killing it with the top five in state kids year after year.
