With recruiting heating up for the new juniors, I am going to take a stab at guys I think we might be looking at

1 Alex Facundo Davison MI 160
3 Shayne Van Ness Blair Academy
5 Padraic Gallagher St. Edward OH 160
7 Tate Picklo Mustang OK 152
9 Drake Ayala Fort Dodge IA 113
21 Caleb Rathjen Ankeny IA 126
29 Wyatt Henson Christian Brothers MO 138
30 Hayden Copass Westville IL 285
35 Jagger Condomitti Northampton PA 138

I am 100% sure that I missed some and there may be ones on this list that don't have us in mind.

Facundo would be such a huge get. Hoping the Metcalf connnection helps us out there!
Landing Facundo would pretty much make up for a bunch of the misses on the recruiting trail so far by staff. He is that good. He will be a MAJOR point getter at NCAAs. He is a Metcalf level of recruit. Give that kid anything he wants and keep Brent on staff.

Updated ranking after Fargo.

113 - #2 Drake Ayala (Jr)
126 - #8 Wyatt Hensen (Jr)
126 - #10 Kysen Terukina (Sr)
132 - #3 Shayne Van Ness (Jr)
145 - #3 Dean Hamiti (Jr)
145 - #9 Maxx Mayfield (Sr)
160 - #1 Alex Facundo (Jr)
160 - #2 Paddy Gallagher (Jr)
160 - #3 Dominick Mata (Sr)
160 - #12 Cameron Robinson (Sr) Committed
170 - #2 Clayton Ulrey (Jr)
170 - #7 Thayne Lawrence (Sr)
170 - #11 Tate Picklo (Jr)
220 - #11 Cody Fisher (Sr) Committed
285 - #2 Hayden Copass (Jr)
285 - #20 Griffin Liddle (Jr) Iowa kid, probably football

Again I know I missed some and some on this list we might of contacted and no longer recruiting.

The ones in bold, I am guessing are the priorities. Would also guess we will talk with Rathjen on August 5th. (1st day for visits is the 5th not the 1st I heard)

Iowa State: Drake Ayala, IA
It would have been very easy to put Facundo here, as I think the Cyclones are the frontrunners for him at this point. Also, Ayala is very close with Hawkeye commit Cullan Schriever, and his club coach TJ Sebolt has an excellent relationship with Ryan Morningstar. But at some point, there's no reason for the Black & Gold to keep stockpiling lightweights. Kevin Dresser already has ISU looking like a potential Big 12 title team, and winning in-state battles with Iowa has been a point of emphasis during Dresser's tenure.

I knew we were sitting well with Facundo, but nice to see it in writing in a Flo article. If we can get Ayala, that would also be an enormous get

Kid has 3-4 brothers, surprised more haven’t been hitting HS.

How old is Dwight Hinsons son? I was thinking he has to be close to HS.

I honestly thought this was just message board fandom and wishful thinking. Seeing it reported that ISU is frontrunners with Facundo is awesome.

That said, you have to disagree with their choice. If you’re the front runner with the #1 pfp recruit, you better be on that guys doorstep.

I think Facundo and Ayala will both be visited immediately.

My guess is Facundo will be us or Michigan and Ayala will be us or Iowa. Can’t rule out UNI on Ayala either with all the Fort Dodge guys there

Flo said they did not want to list any wrestler twice, so Michigan got listed with Facundo and Iowa with Gallagher and Iowa State with Ayala.

I agree. I think Iowa, Iowa State, and UNI in that pecking order for Ayala right now.
Iowa State is the front runner with Facundo. I've heard from a very reliable source he was ready to commit awhile back but the decision was made by the family to hold off for a bit.
Michigan and Iowa State, with an outside chance of Penn State and Wisconsin for Facundo.

I've heard the same. The combination of Brent and David has us as the leader.

@buf87 any idea if the staff has interest in Kysen T? I know you mention him a lot, but have not heard if they are actively recruiting him

Sounds like there is some interest. I am not sure if he has visited yet, but sounds like a few of the above seniors are going to take some more visits. Not sure if that includes us.

Thayne Lawrence and Kysen are still possibilities
