Just wanted to get some thoughts on the possibility of getting College Gameday in Ames this year, particularly September 14th. (Iowa State vs. Iowa).

Not going to happen for the Iowa game at this point (game's on Fox). I'd think the Texas game is our best bet, and we probably need to have only a loss to OU going into that one.
Pretty sure there was already a long thread on this not long ago...
The game being on FOX doesn't matter. Gameday could still come.

Don't sweat it. You already spell better than some that have been on here for 10+ years.
Basically to summarize that last long thread on this topic: most people here don't want it on the Iowa vs ISU game and thought the Texas game would be the most logical choice if it happens this year.
It will be CU & 'cuse. IIRC the game last year was close. They'll pump up the revenge at home narrative for Syracuse.
If not for that game probably would've been UI/ISU.
Anyway, for the new guy...that's what's up...

I'd think games like Michigan State at Michigan (Michigan could be undefeated and Fox has the OSU vs Michigan game), Wisconsin at Nebraska (Could decide the B1G West) or Georgia at Auburn would be the pick for Week 12 .
Agreed. Hopefully UT & ISU are both undefeated and we're on Gameday but I doubt it...
