New Car "Advances" that you don't like

The first part of this is annoying. We only have one key for my wife's car and if I ever want to drive it I have to go sherlock homes on our house finding it. Is it in the car? Her purse? Hung up in the right place (answer is always no)? In the upstairs dresser? Her work bag? F it let's hit the ignition and see what happens.
Once it ended up in a travel bag we left in the trunk and had no clue it was there for months.
I was over the moon when the mall in Ames had gotten a store that carried some ethnic clothing brands and carried Sean Jean jeans. Life was hell in the early 80s with the twiggy jean brands like Jordache.
I had this issue today. Taking our old car, no backup cam, recycling day so that's down the driveway, and I have my bike rack on so rear visibility is no good going down the driveway. Pretty much honk for kids and go for it.
Priuses (prii?) have been doing this for years, it will be fine. The whole engine life thing is a myth.

It is awesome, I'm just waiting for legal crap to mess it up. People blaming failed alerts although I'm sure it's written into the contract that it's not a failsafe.
But it's like how your car used to tell you how many estimated miles you have left, but now most of them turn to just saying "low fuel" or similar if you get under 50 miles.
Blind spot indicators, front spatial alerts, lane deviation, etc.
These are all things that shouldn't need alerts and require basic attention.
Not to mention last I knew the lane deviation doesn't work in snowy roads which is about the only time they'd be practical.
I think the rear-camera is a good thing but needs to be advertised for a purpose to see things right behind the bumper since those become blind areas once you get in the car.

Yeah I drive with the low beams on at all times in any car just for good measure for this very reason.
Buying a new headlight occasionally is way less work than getting hit.
I think it also leads to people not turning their headlights on at night because they assume they're on.
WTH kind of fog lights you been seeing!? Fog lights in principal are designed to be low set to reduce reflection back to the drive vs your brights which are pointed much higher to cast light further down the road (also potentially into other drivers eyes).
Most issues with any kind of light is due to alignment of the beams.
I drive in the city and I don't mind it. There is a button to disengage it in my vehicle if I dont want it. Also, do you honestly think the engineers working for the auto manufacturers haven't thought this through and developed the technology so it doesn't destroy the engine? Its not new tech. Hybrids have been using it for a while now.

I pulled up to a gas station a few weeks ago and immediately hear that awful dinging sound. Look over and there's a woman sitting in the drivers seat with the door open, playing on her phone.
How could she not notice this? Why did she not pull the key out 1/4" to stop the madness???
This one apparently has a larger range. The last time the keys were in my wife's purse that was probably 15 feet or so from the car.
