Spouse took off the next couple days to do outside work to prep for party next weekend. Poor life choice. Granted, the weather was unknown when he scheduled that. Methinks he should do inside work instead. I ain't got time for dealing with heat stroke.

My air went out the weekend before the 4th. It was really hot but not this hot. My house reached 86 degrees. It was the worst.

I'll be in Greenwood, NE Thursday for a race and it's supposed to be 99 degrees. Yuck

Awesome... I suddenly realize that I've been away from Iowa long enough that I forget that Nebraska even exists! I read the "NE" as New England and thought "Where is Greenwood in the New England area?"

I need to get back out on the golf course, but most of the people I golf with are pansies and don't want to golf when it's over 90.
More time for you to work on your game! When I lived in Scottsdale, I was there mainly during the summer and the peak season for heat was upon us. The people from AZ had no interest whatsoever to be outside past 95 degrees which made for some awesome twilight rounds that allowed me to play 2-3 balls at a time.(only difference compared to you is they reduce the prices because they know people won't get out if it's normal rate)

Screw those guys and go out there

Actually this has been a great week for playing golf. Especially if you tee off at 7:30 or before and only play 9 holes. It keeps our cardiologists happy and is much more enjoyable than mall walking or a treadmill. Us old retired hooters have a thing or two figured out.
