I have never even looked at Massey.
Why don't you ask the poster that kept referring to Massey for the numbers?
Biggest upset win in the series? I have no idea, real question.
How is losing to Iowa and not winning more games with an easier schedule “getting better results”?
We’ll seeNothing against Kempt, Purdy is just a super stud. You will be having nightmares about him until Christmas after the game this year.
They didn’t “crumble” against MSU.Listen, guys who discuss college football on podcasts / talk shows are not those who are legitimately voting teams into the CFP. There is a committee. I'm not saying the committee members were not putting them into the CFP because they obviously were.. that's why they were #4. I'm saying there were people not affiliated with the committee who were skeptical of Iowa. Which they should have been because the moment they played two good teams back to back, they crumbled.
No no they didn't crumble against MSU. I meant after they had already played one really good team, they crumbled on the next one. The game against MSU was a dog fight to the last minute. They didn’t “crumble” against MSU.
Stanford? “Crumble” would be a nice way to put it.
Of the same ****Its crazy. Every time I check back in on this thread there are 20-30 more pages
Pretty much the only loss I’ve rewatched. Great effort...just came up short. No no they didn't crumble against MSU. I meant after they had already played one really good team, they crumbled on the next one. The game against MSU was a dog fight to the last minute.
When either team loses in any year it leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth if we’re being honest. To try and turn the convo a bit, I was thinking about this year's CyHawk game. If we lose this game at home with arguably the best team we've had in Ames, I'm not going to be a happy camper. I understand that it doesn't, in and of itself, dictate a successful season, but it will leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Does it count if it's just 4-5 people? Its crazy. Every time I check back in on this thread there are 20-30 more pages
That game was like taking the container of oreo’s home opening it up and finding the driver dropped the bag and stomped on them before putting them on the shelf. That said they are still oreo’s. Just got figure how to enjoy them. They didn’t “crumble” against MSU.

Not saying you understand this but help understand. Is would be like going to a party of hot chicks cuz your buddy told there would be hotties. You get there and drink way to fast. You find a hottie and start making out. Then grab her down south and she isn’t a chick mad? Or just normal mad?To try and turn the convo a bit, I was thinking about this year's CyHawk game. Totally agree.
It is just one game on the schedule, and ISU has played just fine the rest of the season after losing this game the last couple of years, so I won't be throwing in the towel by any means if ISU loses, but CMC has to get over this hurdle at some point. It's still important in this state to win this game no matter what the fans say afterwards.
However, beating the Big 12 conference foes, is still much more important. Getting to the Big 12 Championship game will always be more important in my mind. We finished higher in the Big 12 last year than Iowa did in their weak division of the B1G. That's always more important IMO.
Not true on the last part. Iowa finished tied for 2nd in the west.
Purdue and Wisconsin, and in the East MSU. So tied for 4th overall in conference, record wise anyway. ISU was tied for 3rd in the Big 12 last year right?Who'd they tie with?

They lost to Purdue and Wisconsin though right?
