Tons of teams have to play after a bye but not many have to play after getting up for a game and it getting cancelled. This year there should be no excuses made as far as scheduling goes. We know when we play Iowa this year and there should be no surprises. Especially with our first game being early. If something were to happen where the game would have to be postponed, we'd push it to the night and play it.
 
Iowa plays Rutgers week 2. I'd be more concerned with players doing something dumb during a bye week than playing a team that loses by half a dozen touchdowns to Kansas, LOL.
 
I'm so torn on the two weeks before the Iowa game. I like it because it's more time for bruises/bumps to heal. I hate it as Iowa will have more experience under their belt.

I suppose if we have a freak storm and have to cancel, gives us a week this time to find a game :)

If Iowa beats Iowa State this year, that means they were better than Iowa State that game. If Iowa ends up having a similar overall year or better, they were a better team no doubt. I'm saying just because you lose to someone, it doesn't necessarily make them the better team.

So you agree that Iowa was better than ISU in 2017 and 2018?

You know Scott Frost is much different than Mike Riley, right? Check out the national punditry on Nebraska expectations for the year. It ain't just Iowa fans saying it.
