Iowa Football Recruiting

I heard the Hawkeyes had 6 guys on 1st team AA on the Dear Old Gold preseason All America team. Pretty impressive.

I've also heard that Matt Campbell has more national championships than any other coach in the history of college football minus Bear Bryant and Nick Saban.

Pretty easy for any coach to shine playing against so many teams with no All American talent.

Seriously, this HAS to be ISU's year.
I assume you're speaking of when Campbell was coaching in the MAC and not currently right?

I know it's been a rough afternoon but I wouldn't call ISU "some no name team". C'mon.

I know I set myself up for that but I honestly can't remember the other team you guys play in the non conference. I mean you're basically given 6 wins off the bat and that doesn't even include your Super Bowl in Ames which would be a W. If Purdue doesn't cheat again this year that's 8 without a major upset

Doesn't Iowa get to play a MAC team, some no name team, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and Rutgers this year?

Miami OH and MTSU are the 2 non con games besides ISU which is a tougher slate then UNI and ULM, IMO.

Doesnt ISU play WVU, TTU, KU and KSU this year?

Don't you guys play UNI and LaMonroe? And it's looking like a good chunk of the Big 12 will be on par with the MAC this season. At least you get to sidestep another tossup with Drake.

WVU had 8 wins last year. Nebraska has 8 wins combined the last 2 years

The Big 12 will once again be tougher than any Big Ten West schedule. Pretty much always is and that was before Les Miles came to town

I thought we were talking about this year's upcoming schedule.

I don't think WVU will be a gimme by any means this year. Tech, Kansas and Kansas State should be wins just like Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and Rutgers should be for you guys
