RECRUITING INSIDER: Gunnerson intel

Have no idea about the kid's reasoning if he should pick kNU. If he wants to play in a conference championship, his "easiest" path would be in the B1G West division. And with Frost's proven track record of taking advantage of a cupcake schedule (i.e. when he was in the AAC) in order to garner a high-profile bowl, Gunnerson may see kNU as his best chance at a NY6 Bowl or making the Playoffs. I'll be disappointed if Blaise doesn't become a Cyclone, but I won't bag on the kid if he chooses the Fuskers.

He can definitely EBOD.

But yes, we are going to be competing against him and the toe for the foreseeable future. I'm sure the Ohio schools *itch about ISU "stealing" Ohio players...

Don't forget about the cheerleader in Minneapolis up the road.

ISU is really isolated with this...not too concerned on the big picture as long as CMC is there.

There is no reason to say this, you have no idea if he would see a snap at LB or not. Don't be salty, it looks bad.

Who cares? We say the exact same thing about players who actually play at Iowa state and you don’t jump in to defend them.

Saying someone won’t play LB for Nebraska isn’t even close to a bad look.

Maybe he still thinks there is a high probability Campbell will not be here for all 4 years of his time at ISU

Now Campbell can say all the right things, but at the end of the day, unitl Campbell gets past year 7 or 8 at ISU, he is probably considered a flight risk. How big a risk remains to be seen.

I think you're in the wrong thread.

If he really grew up a cyclone fan you would think there would be distain for Nebraska? But the cyclones are build on many people not one. We will be fine either way.

Yeah I doubt that this is the reason. I reckon it more has to do with Scott Frost being a young talented coach as well and he's trying to build something special just like Iowa State. Blaise growing up an Iowa State fan definitely helps but that sometimes doesn't mean he's not going to like any other school. Whatever school he chooses I hope he chooses the right one for him and has no regrets at the end of the day.

Those days have been over for a long time. He is in western Iowa, so perhaps there's more of a rivalry, but I haven't cared about Nebraska football since Solich replaced Osborne.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing Frost stick it to the Hawkeyes and the Big 10 West for the next ten years.

Well they have a little more tradition than us. Frost is a hot coach and seems to be turning that program around. Hate to lose a kid but it's not the end of the world. Plus, Memorial Stadium is pretty cool.

Well based on some posts of the past on various board, a big part of the problem was the fact the kid did not think Campbell was going to be here all 4 years.

Now maybe they have gotten beyond that and you could be right its just a personal preference at this point.

Its a tough choice, regardless of where the kid goes I hope he succeeds at whatever he does

I believe Chris said a fairly strong lean folks... not over.
