The only way isu beats Iowa last year was if isu had a different OL and Iowa didn’t play 6 of its top 8 on the DL.
isu’s OL was dominated by Texas, couldn’t push around Drake and gave up 6 sacks and 7 false starts against WSU.
The Iowa game was just a glance of what was to come for isu.

Iowa's OL was dominated by Northwestern and Northwestern's DL got dominated by Akron
Which had no impact whatsoever on Iowa’s DL dominating isu’s OL. The talent gap was so massive that isu ran 2 plays in Iowa territory after the opening drive.

No the reason was the isu OL was bad and Iowa DL was awesome. Texas, Drake and WSU showed the Iowa game was just a preview of how bad they were.
Just goes to show you how good Purdy is to put up monster numbers as a true freshman with a bad OL blocking for him
Bad OL’s eventually have a impact on a QB’s health. Being an isu fan you know this all too well. When was the last time an isu QB was upright the entire season?
You have to give it up for Purdy last year. With a bad OL what he did was incredible

If Iowa played in a game where they weren't able to run their game plan because of an outside condition, I would say had that condition not happened, the outcome would've been different.
Why would I care? This is an Iowa Recruiting thread. The only time I care is when Iowa is in Ames in game 3.

Iowa State was better than Wisconsin, Purdue, and Michigan State last year. Iowa and Northwestern are debatable, but Ohio State and Michigan are better.
You are assuming that the outcome of the Iowa game was due to an experience issue for isu.
I am saying it wasn’t experience but a talent issue. isu played numerous games after the Iowa game where if it was just an experience issue the isu OL had wouldn’t have had the issues they did with Texas, Drake and WSU.
