I think they're pretty cool jerseys for a one-off throwback, Good for Iowa and Nike continuing to mix it up and not just repeat "black outs" but I agree - ditch the yellow pants in this instance!
I'm sorry, but those are just awful.

It's funny that the handler glove is red, but they photoshopped it black for the final product.
I do wish we had a gold chrome facemask to wear with the cardinal helmet.
Our last 2 alt uniforms have been badass. These suck.
The ones with the grey I intertwined on numbers and helmet were unique and looked good.
Yeah your grey ones were pretty cool. Not sure why they don't use those more often.
Even though I'm a big Iowa State fan, both of these uniforms look extremely nice. And personally I think it would be a move in the right direction for Iowa to go to the bottom jersey as their home jerseys.

I think the helmet should be a permanent change, I like that quite a bit. With black pants it would look pretty good. Yellow on yellow doesn't look good on football uniforms though.
Reminds me a lot of the uniforms the team was wearing in the Dark Knight when Bane blew up the stadium.
