Live in Ames, haven't been there in probably 8 years. I'm fine with it if it means I can get into better places in town without a wait.
I’ve always liked HP. While it’s not outstanding BBQ, the food is consistently good. You always know what you’re going to get. They give you generous portions for the price, and it’s family friendly. I’m glad it’s an option in Ames.
Dishing Cracker Barrel, that there is fighting words. Nothing wrong with hitting up CB on a Sunday morning, damn fine breakfast.
Since when did every meal have to be a 5 star establishment or it sucks. HP is not the best place to eat in Ames, but its far from the worst. Good sized portions, at cheap prices. Great family friendly place to eat.
Its something that if it wasnt in your town you'd be fascinated by it.
