Anyone have one or know anything about them? It was suggested as an option to replace a conventional system that doesn't pass inspection and I can't really find much about them on the interwebs. I'm guessing the guy (an old-school plumber type) was referring to a Aerobic Treatment Unit?

Talk to the local DNR representative. It highly depends on who you talk to and the local person calling the shots. You might find them through the Health & Safety department.

In our Country they have pretty much limited new systems to the deep sand filter types and discourage all others.

Asking for a "friend?"

I just installed an AdvanTex RT system last fall after my conventional failed. Supposedly, the best available in the market. Expensive as all hell, but they claim that with regular maintenance, they will last decades longer than a traditional. I'll have to live here until I'm 80 or 90 to test that theory.

If you happen to be in central Iowa, could you PM me the contact info of the people you had install it?
