I’ll give you one thing, you’re doing a hell of a job selling we didn’t want him rather than we overlooked him, got full and couldn’t take him once he blew up.

I’m aware. They were also in drastically different situations in terms of available snaps. Back then, I’d bet there were almost double the WR snaps at OSU compared to Michigan and there was one somewhat proven guy on the whole roster.
Football classes are never “full”. And blue chips take fliers to fill the bench all the time because they know they can recruit over them next year.
I’ve never watched the kid take a snap but these reasons seem pretty flimsy. I don’t see why he’d be a take for ISU right now.
C’mon man, Iowa State just added a JUCO WR with zero P5 offers who put up pedestrian (at best) stats in junior college- it’s not like they’re being super selective. I understand you guys are just setting yourselves up for a “we didn’t want him anyway” when he doesn’t go to Iowa State, but don’t be ridiculous about it.

Wilson literally chose us over West Virginia and we passed on Martin when he was actually thought to be good. What are you talking about?
If we have a scholarship and Martin wants to come here, I see no problem with it. Hell him choosing ISU would be worth it to see the Iowa fans all pissed off and whining even if the never caught a pass for us.
"you guys" is a select few. That said, we may not be in a spot to take him, numbers-wise. I literally have no clue on that. If we are one of the teams to reach then we will know. I won't be surprised either way.
