New Heavyweight Champion

Is this how bad boxing has gotten? Geez. No wonder nobody cares anymore.

A guy coming out, making the most of his moment and knocking down the 'world champion' 4 times and getting a TKO? What the hell is wrong with that? Ruiz was fast, active and accurate. People focusing on his build/physique are clueless.

All that said, Wilder is clearly top of the mountain in the heavyweight division. I'd love to see another matchup with Fury.

The good news is I believe Wilder and Fury recently agreed to a rematch next year.

You're right, a really good dude that was a big underdog defied the odds and knocked out a guy he shouldn't be able to.....boxing is terrible

Wilder is lucky the division is down right now. He is probably one of the weekest Heavyweight champs ever. He has good power and fights hard. He just don't have much boxing skill.

Fury got filthy rich in a fight he didn't even have to train for.

Joshua wasn't beating Fury or Wilder.

Ortiz would have won the first fight but gassed out. He was clearly up on the cards and putting on a boxing clinic against Wilder. He's pretty old now but if somehow he can get his cardio going he can easily beat Deontay.

Wilder could have a very steep learning curve though considering his background. The number of fights he has under his belt is not very many.
