NBA: ***Official 2019 NBA Playoffs Thread***

It's only fitting that if US franchises continue to get the Stanley Cup then the lone Canadian NBA team takes home the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

Series is more interesting now. Iguodala being out would be a big blow for GS and could put pressure on Durant to come back. Which is a little interesting considering KD is looking at free agency and is a little sensitive to his treatment in the media. Van Vleet is a little tuna can.

IF the Warriors win this series with 3 of their top 6 players injured (4 if you count Curry's finger) then it will cement their legacy as one of the best teams ever. I don't think they can do it, though. They need to be at full strength to beat a team as good as the Raptors.

Understandable to look at it from that perspective but you can also flip it around. They added a top 3 player in free agency when they already had 3 top 15 players and already were the best team in the world. If they can' win without that guy they added maybe they aren't as epic as they seemed.

I mean if the Bulls had added Malone during their run and lost when he got hurt or the Kobe/Shaq Lakers added Duncan then lost when he got hurt...it would seem like they couldn't win without the top 5 player they added in free agency.

The GSW roster wouldn't have even been possible a decade ago. In some ways a team from right now should be the best team in at least the past 30 years.

Cousins has let a lot of guys get past him. Either he's still hurt or just that out of shape.

Toronto is no fluke. This has the feel of a series where the home team will take every game

If the Warriors take this game, I'll be interested to hear the new narrative from the media/analysts. I want to see if the people that said GS couldn't win the series without Durant stick to it.

Really wish Toronto wouldn't have panicked so early here with the barrage of bricks from 3. They had plenty of time to get back into it with going to the hoop.

If Toronto was going to win the series, this is a game they had to have. They got stop after stop down the stretch but just couldn't finish at the other end. There's long stretches of the game where offensively Toronto plays like they are very aware that it's the NBA Finals and the moment seems to be too big for a lot of them and they get real passive, and look to Kawhi to bail them out way too much.

The Warriors core is at the point where they've pretty much seen everything that you can throw at them, they've been in big game after big game over the last five years. They know if something isn't working, they don't have to panic, they'll just try something else. There's not a lot of teams that ever reach this point and once they do, it's really hard to knock them off.

That 3rd quarter may have been the series.

Warrriors got back to flinging the ball all over the place and Toronto couldn't slow themselves down.
