Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

I think the Hawks land this Valpo kid.

They've already got a Vodka Sam. Adding a Bacardi Evelyn just seems like the next logical step.

I hope they land him. 8 ppg at a mid major with Portland State and New Mexico State as your competitors is hilarious

Who is that moron on here? You know as insecure as that jack hole is, he’s created at least 7 accounts here.

Yeah he's had multiple accounts here. I know of him too and he lives a sad life. The Hawkeye Wrestling Club guys can't stand him

I love all the Hawk fans laughing at us getting Bolton when Fran couldn't even find anyone at all and so he gave one to a walk on instead.

I assume it is program self denial, I seem to remember some of those EIU's had similar opinions of Shayok, Jacobson and Nixon. Nixon and potentially Bolton can prove them wrong this year.
Easier to cope this time of year by trying to justify their coach sitting out on recruiting transfers by finding faults in every other player who chooses a better program.

I rarely ever visit Hoknation, but decided to visit to see what that site had to say about the upcoming visit from the Valpo player. Rob Howe started off his column in this vein:
Most Iowans love their state. The rolling hills of green warm the heart.

It’s not for everyone, however. Hawkeye coaches run into that on the recruiting trail. It’s absent of beaches and winters can be harsh.

Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery must clear additional hurdles. With two sons on his team, it’s used against him. Opposing staffs drop hints that playing time could be tough for prospects, charging nepotism without any real evidence.

The underlined section made me laugh. Connor's production/numbers in no way warranted the amount of playing time he got. Then, at the end of the season Isaiah Moss (who had much better stats than CM) transfers. That, my friends, is all the evidence you need to prove nepotism.

I am shocked such an intelligent bunch of folks in that fanbase feel that way.

I'm not going to bag on the Iowa program and players. We, as a fan base, rip on them but then when we have beaten them the last few times, it is a really close game, when they have beaten us, they kill us. Until we beat their @ss, maybe we should shut up.

Yeah this is CF, that ain't going to happen. Sure go ahead and not talk crap at work or with your hawk neighbors, but to expect the posters on this board to back down it's not going to happen.

If PMccfrey is starting at the 3 they are on some trouble...kid is 6’8 and 170lns dripping wet.. if he can shoot the three consistently he might be ok but in P5 PM is gonna realize quickly that he’s not quick enough or physical enough yet..

That article was worst piece of bs pumping I’ve seen in quite some time..He’s talking up 2 potential starters in Nunge and CJ who had to redshirt and haven’t seen a college court yet..well Nunge did barely and wasn’t good.

What’s interesting is that article didn’t even mention Kreiner..who will play over Nunge.

Iowa def needs to add a grad transfer guard...Iowa will be the least athletic and worst defensive team in the BIG...again. Oh and JW will now get the best defender defending him.
